The class will begin with the practice of watercolors and trying your hand at various techniques, such as mastering different types of washes, dry brushing, gradients, and more. We will then move onto drawing techniques to help you develop new illustration skills. You’ll then apply all of those techniques to create your own mixed media illustration. This class is great for beginners wanting to learn something new OR advanced artists looking to build their creativity.

In this class you will learn all about the art of block printing. You can select from the following printing surfaces: cotton tea towel, canvas tote, canvas throw pillow cover.

We begin by review different block printing techniques and designing your own block print to use in your design. You will cut out your own design and apply it to your block. Once you select your paint color of choice, you will begin printing on your surface. After you have finished printing, we will go back in and touch up any areas and you will take your completed piece home!

This is an introductory level course. This class is intended for participants with little to painting or DIY experience.
